CAPE TOWN – Ahead of their clash with Argentina today, the Nigerian Super Eagles are sure to be a little apprehensive as they consider their World Cup record against the South Americans - played four, lost four.
But Nigeria led by skipper John Obi Mikel have their tails up, fresh from a 2-0 beating of an Iceland outfit that held Argentina 1-1 in the group opener.
Add to that the fact that Messi’s team were smashed 3-0 by Croatia, and the Super Eagles have every reason to believe they will finally get the better of Argentina, which boasts stars such as Gonzalo Higuain and Sergio Aguero.
After all, ahead of the football fest in Russia, they did get the better of Argentina - Nigeria winning a friendly international played in England 2-0.

Will they treat us to yet another thriller today? With the stakes so high - a place in the next round with each side needing to win, although a draw for Nigeria might suffice if Croatia beat Iceland - they probably will.
Also in action today is Group C in which Denmark need only draw with already qualified France to beat Australia - who must win against eliminated Peru - to second spot.
