Those unwilling to wait for the M version, or fearing how much it might cost, will be able to tart up their 6 Series Gran Coupe with an M Package.
Of course, as it is with these packages, no performance mods are on the cards, but there is a decent styling makeover - starting with an M aerodynamics package with bespoke body components for the front end, side skirts and rear apron.
The visual treat continues with exhaust tailpipe embellishers in dark chrome, black-painted brake callipers, LED foglamps and a sports exhaust system (available with the 650i). The package also throws in a set of 19-inch light-alloy wheels in M double-spoke design, although buyers regarding that as too puny can opt for a similar set in 20-inch guise.
Buyers get to choose between two M paint finishes, namely Carbon Black metallic and Imola Red non-metallic.
The 'M' aspiration continues in the cabin, which treats its occupants to special M Alcantara/leather sports seats with blue contrast stitching, an M leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons and gearshift paddles and aluminium hexagon interior trim strips. Let's not forget the door sill finishers sporting the M logo and an M driver's footrest.
The new 6 Series Gran Coupe, essentially a four-door version of the 6 Series coupe, is set to arrive in South Africa during the second quarter of next year.
