Visitors to the 2011 Tribune and Garden Leisure Show will have the opportunity to meet garden guru Keith Kirsten at the Proven Winners Plant Readers’ Day. Hosted by SA Garden, this is the not-to-be-missed horticultural happening of the spring season.
Kirsten’s turbocharged personality has informed and entertained radio and TV audiences for more than 30 years.
Talk to Kirsten today and he is as enthusiastic as ever.
“I am an outrageous Africa optimist,” he says.
“Let us roll up our sleeves, clean up the litter, plant trees and flowers, while we get the African Renaissance to work.”
This doubtlessly explains why Kirsten is a passionate contributor to the Proudly South African campaign.
A natural showman and energetic salesman, Kirsten is a man with a boundless passion for plants, people, animals and the environment, which has and continues to positively impact on many aspects of South African life.
Kirsten will fill the readers’ morning with the latest in gardening trends, landscaping tips, ideas for sustainable gardens and how to get the most enjoyment from your Proven Winners plants.
Kirsten shares his knowledge on how these plants are bred and trialed before being released to the gardener.
What are Proven Winners Plants?
Proven Winners partners with the top plant breeders around the world to ensure their varieties are vigorous, healthy, vibrant and unique. Proven Winners plants are covered with bright and colourful blooms, and are easy to grow and care for.
