Cape Town - Up for a challenge? How about wearing a dress every day in the month of December?
Milk Matters. which supplies neonatal intensive care units with donor breastmilk for premature babies - has launched their fundraising drive Dresses for Lives 2014.
They are asking people to raid their cupboards for a frock or two - all in the cause of helping tiny babies get their life-giving breastmilk.
There are four options for getting involved:
* Wear dresses each day in December and get people to sponsor you.
* Sponsor someone you know who is wearing dresses for Dresses for Lives 2014.
* Sponsor one of the Milk Matters Team.
* Make a donation instead of sponsoring per day.
If you’re going the dress route, you will need to keep a record to show which days you wore dresses. Ideally this should be a photographic record. Photos from the knees down (or higher if it is a short dress) are fine.
“Sponsors need to see you are really earning their money,” says Jenny Wright, Milk Matters co-ordinator.
“If you can, create an album on your Facebook page so your friends and family can track your campaign”
You can also tweet your pictures, using the hashtag #dressesforlives.
