Let’s take a trip down memory lane and explore what took the social media app by storm and had everyone talking.

Face-Lift Beauty Hack

Beauty is ever-evolving; there’s always a newer, better way to do things. But some methods? A bit bizarre, like the wig hack that took social media by storm, inspiring influencers and enthusiasts alike to try it.

This beauty hack involves taping both sides of your face with face-lifting tape right after gluing on your wig cap, giving you a more sculpted appearance. TikTok is flooded with tutorials demonstrating the entire process and showcasing incredible transformations. Want a snatched look? Check it out.

Brother Enigma

The famous self-proclaimed prophet who seemingly emerged from nowhere had everyone talking. It all began when his video went viral on TikTok after he appeared as a guest on Daily Hustle, a YouTube podcast by Chris Network.

During his interview with Chris, Brother Enigma claimed to have direct communication with Jesus, sparking a mix of fascination and skepticism.

According to the “prophet,” Jesus disapproves of several modern practices, including using perfume, going to the gym, using condoms, women wearing pants, and people getting tattoos.

The Pinafore Trend

Inspired by Brother Enigma, some women, especially young Black women, traded their gym tights for pinafore dresses at the gym.

One of the prophet’s messages was that Jesus doesn’t want women wearing tight gym clothes, such as leggings, as they’re too revealing. Many women took this message seriously and began working out in pinafores instead of the usual two-piece sets.

This trend gained traction on TikTok, with women sharing their workout routines in pinafores. As with any trend, some were all for it, while others weren’t feeling it at all.

Checkers Mini Collectibles

The Checkers bite-sized replicas of grocery items created a frenzy among adult shoppers, who were captivated by the collector’s case and its miniature items.

This recyclable collector’s case featured tiny versions of popular grocery products like Tastic Rice, Jacobs Coffee, Nola Mayonnaise, All Gold Tomato Sauce, and Black Cat Peanut Butter, to name a few.

But the true star of the collection was the rare pink trolley, one of the most sought-after pieces. While many collectors had impressive collections, the pink trolley was scarce, fueling the hype of being “the most wanted”.

Those with duplicates began selling the pink trolley, while eager buyers scrambled to snag one. The miniature replica of Checkers’ iconic trolley was even listed on Facebook Marketplace for prices ranging from R500 to R1000, leaving many people shocked and intrigued.

“We listen, we don’t judge.”

The TikTok challenge known as “We listen, we don’t judge” not only sparked a buzz but also featured some eyebrow-raising moments, as participants captivated audiences worldwide with their jaw-dropping and harrowing confessions.

It begins with the catchphrase “we listen, we don’t judge,” followed by a confession, and participants are prohibited from judging. The aim is to continue until everyone has shared their confession.

The challenge involves videos of two or more friends sharing humorous and often shocking “confessions” with each other. How genuine these confessions are remains uncertain.
