The Ultimate Braai Master Live 2024 is back.

This year, guests can immerse themselves in the culture surrounding South Africa's beloved braai while being entertained by some of SA’s finest comedians.

Taking place from Friday, October 25, until Sunday, October 27 at Montecasino, Johannesburg, it is set to heat things as it introduces a tantalising mix of flavours and laughter.

Joining established personalities Dave Levinsohn and Stuart Taylor, the comedy line-up will feature top South African comedians such as Nicholas Goliath, Mojak Lehoko, Chris Forrest and Richelieu Beaunoir.

Bringing their signature wit and charm, these local heavyweights are set to deliver a blend of hilarity that complements the sizzling atmosphere of the braai festivities.

Goliath, renowned for his engaging stand-up and exceptional MC skills, will ensure that both the gourmet food and entertainment are in perfect balance.

Lehoko, a multi-award-winning comedian known for his sharp wit, is sure to add an extra layer of spice to the event.

Forrest, the brain behind “Ultimate Braai Master” with other two decades experience in tickling the funny bone, promises to serve comedy as hot as the grilling offered.

Beaunoir brings his distinctive comedic style, guaranteeing attendees a weekend filled with laughter and good vibes.

But the excitement doesn’t stop with comedy alone. For the first time, attendees have the unique opportunity to step into the role of judge at the exclusive Crown National, Home of Six Gun Grill Braai Competition.

With only four judging tickets available per session, participants can immerse themselves in the grilling action alongside seasoned braai masters.

Each ticket comes with an exclusive judging course, an official judging t-shirt and front-row access to the competition.

Judging session times:

  • Friday: Heat 1 – 4pm to 5.45pm.
  • Saturday: Heat 2 – noon to 1.45pm (sold out), Heat 3 – 4pm to 5.45pm.
  • Sunday: Final – noon to 1.45pm (sold out).

“I couldn’t be more excited to be part of Ultimate Braai Master Live this year, especially with such a stellar line-up of comedians,” said Forrest.

“It’s going to be a laugh-a-minute weekend. And, to top it all off, fans get the chance to judge the braai competition!

“Honestly, is there a better way to spend the weekend than eating braai, laughing your head off, and being part of the best family day out action?”

Attendees can expect a variety of interactive cook-offs, tantalising food and drink, and lively entertainment for all ages. With options to sample craft beer and indulge in a mini wine route, the event promises to offer something for everyone.
