South African music sensation Makhadzi is gearing up to release her 2024 studio album in October and has begun her roll-out.

The BET Viewer's Choice: Best New International Act winner released the cover art for the upcoming album “A Miracle Child”. Makadzi on the cover has a pixie haircut and is topless and there are words splashed over in black and white.

“Ladies and gentlemen allow me to introduce my album cover. A MIRACLE CHILD,” she captioned her post on Instagram.

“I opened my wardrobe and found nothing to wear to cover my pain and celebration. instead I Decided to wear all my pain and celebrations ….

“All challenges in life are Gods protection and all celebrations are Gods blessings and miracles.”

The words on the cover are intentional with personal meaning to the international star; miscarriage, Phala Phala, Close Mic, Arts and Culture, BET, SARS, Polygamy and One Woman Show.

Makhadzi has had a very interesting career with public moments that have made headlines such as owing R6 million to the South African Revenue Services. The performer also opened up about turning to loan sharks to fund her trip to the BET Awards in Los Angeles.

As an artist, Makhadzi has also had to fight a few battles such as leaving her former record label Open Mic and also her run with the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture earlier this year.

It was revealed that bagged over R230,000 in performance fees from the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture in the past 14 months.

Fans spotted that Makhadzi’s cover is inspired by Rihanna’s 2012 album “Unapologetic” and have been calling her “Vho-Riri”.
