Based on Han Sangwoon's gripping novel “Influenza”, the show intertwines the themes of love and survival against the backdrop of a catastrophic zombie outbreak in the bustling city of Seoul.

The series centres around Lee Jaeyoon, a dedicated young man fulfilling his mandatory military service while grappling with the emotional distance that duty imposes on his relationship with his girlfriend, Kang Youngjoo, an ambitious engineer.

Just as the couple finds themselves arguing about their prolonged separation, fate takes a dark turn, Seoul is plunged into chaos as a zombie outbreak erupts, turning their world upside down.

What was once a simple argument quickly escalates into a high-stakes adventure, posing the question: how far will they go for love in a world where survival is not guaranteed?

“Newtopia” will be released on Friday, February 7, on Amazon Prime Video.
