The EFF held its third elective conference in Nasrec, Johannesburg. Julius Sello Malema was elected unopposed as party president, and for a third term. EFF as a political organisation has no term limit on the party's top position.

EFF central committee member Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi did not attend the elective conference. According to media reports, Ndlozi was not allowed to attend the National People's Assembly (NPA) by the party leadership. It remains unclear if the above statement is true or not.

The truth of the matter is that, since the departure of the former deputy president Floyd Shivambu, Ndlozi has been ill-treated by the party leadership, particularly Malema. The Commander In Chief has trust issues and suspects that Ndlozi is on his way out.

During the elective conference, Malema was asked by the media why Ndlozi was absent from the NPA, he got furious and answered with emotions. He said the EFF is not centred around Ndlozi. What type of response is that?

What did Ndlozi do to deserve this? He has served the EFF with loyalty and dignity. At some point, he was the party's spokesperson, and was more popular than Malema. That did not go down well with the EFF leader, who is paranoid and a power monger.

Ndlozi holds a PhD in philosophy. The country needs more academics and researchers. He has delivered research papers locally and abroad. This shows that he is a scholar and intellectual. He is wasting his talent at the EFF.

In the EFF, the environment has become toxic for Ndlozi. He should consider leaving Julius Malema's party. Let him go to Wits University or any university and lecture there. I am sure they will appreciate his talent.
