It’s that time of year when people take a breather after working hard throughout the year, and Springboks head coach Rassie Erasmus, or “Uncle Rassie” as fans fondly call him, is doing just that with his family.

Erasmus jetted off to the tropical island of Mauritius for some well-deserved downtime with his three daughters, Nikki, Carli and Jani.

His Instagram page has been filled with moments from a much more relaxed setting. No touchline pressure or intense match-day energy, just calm, wholesome vibes with blue waters, clear skies and even dolphins swimming nearby.

That is what greets you as you scroll through his Instagram feed, alongside a video with a group of friends enjoying the warm weather, boat rides and a bit of water sports fun.

This is a much more relaxed side of the people’s favourite coach that fans don’t see too often, as they are used to seeing him mostly in the high-stakes world of rugby.

As you keep scrolling, you are met with a touch of dancing, some beach volleyball vibes and laid-back evenings by the ocean, wine in hand, shared with his daughters.

One picture that stood out is a sweet girl-dad selfie he posted, paired with a caption that speaks volumes on how much his three girls mean to him.

Nikki also took to her own Instagram to share glimpses of the family getaway at the Victoria Beachcomber Resort and Spa. Her photo dump paints the picture of a holiday well enjoyed, with plenty of time spent in the water.

The sun and sky made for the perfect backdrop throughout the trip, adding to the vacation vibe.
