Cape Town has long been a favourite destination for Hollywood A-listers, and now the city has caught the attention of Bollywood royalty.

Iconic Bollywood actor and film producer, Shah Rukh Khan, popularly known by the initials SRK, and actress Deepika Padukone, were recently spotted in Mzansi.

The pair are currently in the Mother City filming their highly anticipated movie "King".

A video of the pair at the V&A Waterfront has gone viral online.

The video is a montage of different shots of the pair walking around the popular tourist spot. It also seems as if the pair are hard at work.

After seeing the video, fans were disappointed at the missed opportunity of seeing their favourite Bollywood mega stars in town.

Commenting on the video, this is what fans had to say:

@Tervor.kriega said: “I love it when famous people visit Cape Town.”

@Sheemi said: “When Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan are together in a movie, then this movie is going to be a blockbuster hit.”

@sharoienug3 said: “I love my Bollywood people, wish I could’ve seen them.”

Whilst @ferghassan1 said: “We need 'Eastern Mosaic' now more than ever. ”

Khan and Padukone have starred in five major released films together - "Om Shanti Om" (2007), "Chennai Express" (2013), "Happy New Year"(2014), "Pathaan" (2023) and "Jawan" (2023) - with  "King", currently in production, being their sixth collaboration.

They are recognised as one of Bollywood’s most successful on-screen pairings, with all their collaborations being major box-office successes.

"King", directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, is a high-octane action-thriller set for a December 24 theatrical release.

The film, featuring a “rugged” anti-hero role with SRK, also stars his daughter Suhana Khan. It is rumoured to be inspired by "Léon: The Professional".
