American R&B singer and songwriter Sabrina Claudio shared her deep affection for the country following her performance at YFM's LYFE Festival.

The artist took to Instagram to share her experiences in Johannesburg, giving fans a glimpse into her Mzansi adventures.

Claudio performed at Marks Park in Randburg over the weekend, and she also explored the vibrant city.

Sharing the stage with local favourite Lloyiso and Swazi-born, South African-based artist and producer newcomer Manana, Claudio's visit was not without its controversy when her past allegations of racism surfaced ahead of the concert.

In 2018, it was revealed that she had created a Twitter account under the handle "@ODamnYourUgly" to post derogatory remarks about black women.

Following online scrutiny, she apologised for her “past ignorance” and acknowledged the hurt her words had caused.

“I realise my past ignorance is affecting people I care so much about, and I am so sorry,” she stated, reaffirming her commitment to learning and growing from her mistakes.

But that's water under the bridge now.

While here, she enjoyed a thrilling safari drive, where she encountered some of South Africa's stunning wildlife.

Additionally, she toured Soweto and visited popular attractions like Vilakazi Street and Orlando, where she indulged in local cuisine at the Meat Meet, sampling traditional dishes such as pap with braai meat.

In her heartfelt Instagram post, Claudio wrote, “I left my whole heart in Joburg 🇿🇦🤍. Unreal. Thank you for showing me and welcoming me into your world! It took me only eight years to make it to you, but I thank you for waiting and showing up for me. I have never felt love like this! I want to party with you forever 🥹.”

She also shared a video of her fans joyfully singing along to her songs, showcasing the strong connection she has with her audience.

Netizens responded enthusiastically to her post.

User @pinkywinky76 commented, “My heart is so happy seeing how much the whole world loves your music and sings your songs. Don’t ever stop doing your thing. The world needs you and your music. Pure talent that has the power to heal and unite people.”

Another user, @denisekney, added, “She got the full experience. Whoever took @sabrinaclaudio to kasi, thank you! 🔥🙌.”

Other comments included well-wishes from fans, expressing their love for her and hope for her return to South Africa.
