Rachel Kolisi and her daughter, Keziah Kolisi, enjoyed special mommy-daughter time at Rachel's "favourite place on earth": the beautiful country of Botswana.
The duo explored nature and wildlife interactions in the Okavango Delta, a World Heritage site known for its rich wildlife and breathtaking scenery.
The pair were invited by andBeyond Nxabega to take part in their Wildlife Ranger Challenge over the weekend.
This challenge helps protect wildlife across Africa.
Rachel shared a message encouraging everyone to support the Ranger Challenge, saying: "If you feel moved to support the Ranger Challenge, please do! ...
"Since inception, this challenge has supported over 11,500 field rangers across 24 African countries; protecting over 36 million hectares of irreplaceable land and seascapes. And they do this with limited support."
Rachel documented their adventure on social media, sharing videos of their experiences with her fans.
One of the videos captured an intense moment when a male lion approached a leopard who was eating its prey at the top of a tree.
In her post, Rachel wrote, "Very hard to put this experience into words. I’ve been really blessed to have many safari experiences, but have never seen anything close to this before."
She described how the leopard quickly jumped down from the tree when it spotted the lion, while a hyena scavenged from the kill above.
As Rachel described: "At one point, we were watching the hyena, lion and leopard in the same area."
The lion, eager for leftovers, had a stare-down with the leopard before it jumped onto the tree to grab the carcass.
In a surprising twist, the hyena interrupted the lion and ended up becoming lunch for the lion instead!
On Instagram, Rachel posted clips showing Keziah and her enjoying day and night safari drives.
They watched elephants, leopards, lions, eagles and wild dogs, while even having lunch by a riverbed with playful hippos nearby.
Rachel shared her excitement, writing: “Kez and I spent the weekend with @andbeyondtravel for such an amazing cause (see previous post). We had 12 hours in the bush with @andbeyondnxabega and my goodness what an unreal experience!! We love you 🇧🇼❤️.”
