This new Orlando Pirates kit takes all the right cues from streetwear

Dominating streetwear once again, Adidas recently revealed the Orlando Pirate’s Home and Away kits last month.

Meant to be thrown on with jeans and kicks for a day out, the pieces still come engineered for performance. Worn as much in the stadiums and streets as it is on the field, the sportswear goes further in developing iconic South African sport’s apparel, similar to Diesel’s overhaul of the AC Milan streetwear kit.

The all-black Climacool Orlando Pirates kit is centred around the legendary skull and cross bones, appearing as a motif on all gear, debossed in black on black and contrasted in white on black in some instances. The centrepiece jersey features an embroided oversized name and number  with the original skull and cross bones debossed on the neck, giving it a firmly streetwear focused style. 

With a GQ test behind it, the accessories raise heads and get noticed in double time, with features on the backpack like a laptop pocket and expandable storage making it the perfect daypack or commuter backpack.
