STELLENBOSCH FC defender Thabo Moloisane was called up to the Bafana Bafana national team for the first time ahead of their two World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin this month.
The 26-year old Moloisane has proven to be the main defence marshall for thriving Stellenbosch and his experiences with the Winelands outfit in the Caf Confederations Cup this season no doubt twisted Bafana coach Hugo Broos’ arm the right direction.
Moloisane joins the usual suspects Sydney Mobbie, Grant Kekana, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Aubrey Modiba, Siyabonga Ngezana, Khuliso Mudau and fellow Stellies stalwart Fawaaz Basadien in the backline in a team that included few surprises.
Broos also included overseas-based ysters Percy Tau and Lyle Foster alongside the likes of Oswin Appollis, Patrick Maswanganyi, Relebohile Mofokeng, Iqraam Rayners and Elias Mokwana in his attack.
Bafana play Lesotho in Polokwane next Friday and Benin in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on 25 March.

With a vrag players involved in Sunday’s top-of-the-table Premiership clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, Broos tells the SABC: “I hope that nothing happens in that game; it is an important game for Sundowns and it is also important for Pirates. I think if Pirates lose that game, it will be the end for them in the championship, so it is a very important game and it will be intense for both sides.
“Let’s pray that there won't be any injuries.”
