Proteas batting coach Ashwell Prince showed on the last tour to England that he was the “vibes master” in the dressing room.
The former Proteas batter was the forefront of the team’s World Test Championship celebrations, belting out a special song for Captain Temba Bavuma to the tune of “Bella Ciao”, the Italian folk song that was made popular again by the hit Netflix “Money Heist”.
Now, Prince, who is a die-hard Liverpool fan, has taken on the role of ticket tout by organising the players, including Bavuma and fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, VIP passes to Anfield last Sunday for the massive English Premiership clash against Arsenal.

Bavuma, also a Reds fanatic, thoroughly enjoyed the experience of watching the English champions defeat their closest rivals, courtesy of a stunning free kick from Hungarian international Dominik Szoboszlai.
“Yeah, I'm a Liverpool fan, so thanks to Ashwell Prince (Proteas batting coach), he managed to organise some tickets for the Liverpool-Arsenal game. It was very nice. Good victory as well,” Bavuma said.
Bavuma stated that his team will keep things light-hearted off the field before switching to the serious business of facing England in the first ODI at Headingley in Leeds today, with Rabada still being rested after missing the recent Australian series to injury.
“The boys enjoy a UK tour. And we’ll try to make it as fun as it can be,” Bavuma said.
“And obviously the cricket as well. We expect it to be tough as always.”
