Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) says flight operations at OR Tambo International Airport will continue as normal during the G20 Leaders Summit, but several key access routes will be temporarily closed for security.
In a statement on Tuesday, ACSA said no delays or disruptions to scheduled flights are expected, and passengers will be able to travel as usual.
However, the airport precinct will see a number of road closures from November 18, 2025, which may affect drop-offs, pick-ups and access to certain facilities.
According to ACSA:
Cargo Road will be completely closed, with access limited to Voortrekker Road up to the SAA Cargo area.
Arrivals Road will be closed, and all vehicles will be redirected to Parkade 2 North and South for passenger drop-off and pick-up.
Short-term parking (the Piazza) will also be fully closed for the duration of the summit.
ACSA apologised for the inconvenience and urged travellers to allow extra travel time while the temporary measures are in place.
“We sincerely thank all airport users for their patience and understanding during this period,” the statement said.
