Johannesburg is gearing up for a cultural extravaganza as the beloved Jazzy Joburg Market makes its much-anticipated return, running from September 26 to 28, 2025.

Nestled within the exciting weekend of the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz Festival, this market promises to be a treasure trove of local creativity, all taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Transforming the centre into a bustling hub, the Jazzy Joburg Market will host 25 local vendors dedicated to showcasing the artistry of Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs).

It is revealed that visitors can expect to find an eclectic array of handcrafted jewellery, bespoke home décor, stylish fashion items, and artisanal goods, all made with love by local entrepreneurs and artisans.

According to Mantwa Chinoamadi, CEO of TMusicman and Festival Producer of the Joy of Jazz, “The Jazzy Joburg Market is more than just a shopping experience; it's a celebration of artistry, entrepreneurship, and community. By running alongside the Joy of Jazz, the market gives festivalgoers an opportunity to engage with local creatives, support small businesses, and take a piece of Joburg’s creative spirit home with them.”

The market is also presented in collaboration with the Joburg Tourism Company, an organisation committed to promoting the city’s diverse cultural offerings. Nandipha Zonela, Board Chairperson of the Johannesburg Tourism Company, remarked, “Joburg is the heartbeat of South Africa’s creativity, and the Jazzy Joburg Market is a beautiful extension of that energy.”

She highlighted the vital role of SMMEs, stressing that “supporting SMMEs is essential for both our local economy and for sustaining the talent that makes Johannesburg such a dynamic cultural hub.”

Running parallel to the internationally acclaimed Joy of Jazz Festival, the Jazzy Joburg Market reinforces Johannesburg’s position as a premier cultural and lifestyle destination. As festivities unfold in Sandton, attendees can revel in world-class jazz performances while exploring the city’s vibrant creative economy.

The seamless integration of music, art, and entrepreneurship showcases Johannesburg as not only the home of jazz in Africa but also as a beacon for cultural tourism. This dynamic atmosphere draws audiences from across the continent and beyond, eager to experience the unique rhythm and soul of the city.

Festival attendees can seamlessly flow between the captivating performances of the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz and the lively Jazzy Joburg Market, creating a one-stop destination for an enriching cultural exchange.
