Cape Twon - The Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance co-operation between their members, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said on Tuesday.
The agreement was signed on Monday at the SA-China Zhejiang Trade and Investment Symposium in Sandton, which was attended by a business delegation from China’s Zhejiang province.
The MoU covers the fields of export, import, investment, business information and other commerce-orientated activities. Speaking at the symposium, the chief director of investment promotions at the DTI.

Ambassador Sadick Jaffer, said co-operation and collaboration between business people from China and South Africa was encouraged in order to deepen trade relations.
