South Africa’s leading independent power producer, Red Rocket, known for developing, constructing, and operating renewable energy projects across the country and beyond, is bringing its trademark energy to the stage with Richard Bean’s One Man, Two Guvnors.
This fast-paced British comedy bursts with wit, music and mayhem, and reflects Red Rocket’s core values of Care, Create and Collaborate in a bold new way.
Adapted from Carlo Goldoni’s The Servant of Two Masters, the story follows the perpetually hungry Francis Henshall, who finds himself working for two employers at once — a perfect recipe for chaos, confusion and laughter.
Red Rocket’s Chief Executive Officer, Matteo Brambilla, who also plays bass guitar in the company’s band Jun and The Kilowatts, says: “Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do at Red Rocket. This production shows that creativity can be as powerful as any source of energy. It connects people, uplifts them, and reminds us that purpose comes in many forms.”
Jun and The Kilowatts, comprised entirely of Red Rocket employees, will perform live, rockabilly style music throughout the show. Red Rocket staff are involved in every aspect of the production, both on and off stage, from acting and music to design, lighting and backstage coordination.
Red Rocket has partnered with Paul Griffiths and Tandi Buchan of the Waterfront Theatre School and Helen O’ Grady Drama Academy, musical director Duncan Johnson, and acclaimed costume and set designer Allegra Bernacchioni to bring this production to life – a joyful collaboration between corporate creativity and professional artistry.
Proceeds support ASSITEJ South Africa and the Cheslin Kolbe Foundation, helping to bring art, sport and opportunity to local youth.
