In February 2014 three passengers and the driver of our Honda sedan were put at risk when the car’s engine over-heated and we were attacked by four knife-welding young male residents from the township of Khayelitsha.

We escaped with our lives – thanks to Almighty G-d in the form of a security guard.

It is widely known that this section of road on the N2 is dangerous; objects are thrown on the road to cause punctures.

Why wait for a death like we have had of Warrant Officer Petrus Holz, who was knifed to death on Wednesday, July 29 before action is taken.

Why? Why? Why?

When I read the report of the stabbing and death, I wanted to vomit. What has this country become?

No power, no water and the concern of travelling by car to the airport…

A police presence in the form of a police station at that spot on the N2 is all that is needed.

Plus, this government must do all in its power to reduce unemployment.
