'I’ve always believed my lucky break was just around the corner' - Man bags R11million Lotto jackpot

One person has won over R11million in the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot from the September 3, 2025, draw. 

According to National Lottery Ithuba, the person won via the Tyme Bank with a R60 quick pick.

The winner told Ithuba, “I’ve always believed my lucky break was just around the corner.

"That’s why I never let my phone out of sight – playing on my banking app means my ticket to millions is always in the palm of my hand."

The winner says he received the notification on his phone and could not believe it.

“When I received confirmation that I was the jackpot winner, I felt so many emotions. I broke down in tears and offered a prayer of gratitude. I have been waiting for this moment.”

The businessman plans to expand his business and travel and giving back to those in need.

All National Lottery winnings are tax-free, and winners have up to 365 days from the draw date toclaim their prize.
