LDV hit the South African market in 2024 with its T60 double cab range of bakkies, and now the brand is expanding into more premium segments with the larger Terron 9 bakkie as well as a large SUV called the D90.
LDV, which stands for Leyland DAF Vans, is a Chinese brand with British roots, and this week it used the Festival of Motoring at Kyalami to launch the two aforementioned leisure products as well as a new full-sized van called the Deliver 9.
At the show’s media day, LDV announced that its new Terron 9 bakkie would be available in three versions, all powered by a 2.5-litre turbodiesel engine that produces 163kW and 520Nm.
The LDV Terron 9 is now available in South Africa.
