Though friends often mean well, their advice can hit the mark.

Lebogang Tlokana, known as The Funny Chef, recently embraced motherhood and shared a heartfelt reflection on the guidance given to her by her best friend, DJ Lamiez Holworthy, before she gave birth.

Tlokana took to her Instagram stories to share this valuable advice alongside a picture from the day she welcomed her daughter.

"Lamiez Holworthy told me to do my make-up on the day I delivered Tinky. She said it would make me feel confident and create beautiful picture memories without me doubting how I looked... and so I did! I looked back at the pictures today... and I must say..." recounted the chef.

In the accompanying photo, Tlokana is seen in the hospital delivery room, sitting on the bed with perfectly styled brows, a side ponytail and her hair covered with a net.

Her expression captures a mix of surprise as she processes both her friend's advice and the reality of entering motherhood.

The image has left many in Mzansi amused.

Tlokana announced her pregnancy in September 2025 and revealed that she gave birth through C-section to a beautiful baby girl, whom she affectionately nicknamed Tinky.

During her pregnancy, her friends, including Holworthy, organised a memorable baby shower for Tlokana.

She shared a video of the celebration on Instagram, expressing her gratitude to her friends and family.

"Where to begin? I’m still overwhelmed by the love that surrounded me on this beautiful day. I’ve never felt so held, supported, and uplifted. Every hug, every smile, and every gentle prayer reminded me of how blessed I am to be bringing my little miracle into a world already filled with so much tenderness."

"My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the friends who have become family and the family who continue to be my anchor. Stepping into motherhood with this kind of support is the greatest gift. Thank you for reminding me that I am cherished, protected, and never walking this journey alone. Thank you ❤️."
