Beauty queen Zozibini Tunzi-Bolowana recently took to Instagram as she celebrated being married for seven months and described her marriage to Luthando Bolowana as a “blessing.”
She shared a throwback video of the wedding after-party, with everyone having the time of their lives as they celebrated their union.
The former Miss Universe excitedly captioned her post: “Over the halfway mark to a year! Time beautifully stands still when you are living in a blessing.”
This is not the first time that Tunzi-Bolowana has celebrated reaching a milestone in her marriage.
In April, she marked a month since she exchanged nuptials with her husband and took to social media to celebrate.
“I can’t believe today marks a full month already since marrying my best friend. What an unbelievably beautiful time it has been.
“I wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for all the love and well-wishes you have sent our way. It made our celebrations all the more special,” she shared.
The couple said their “I do’s” early this year, in March, in the Mother City and the wedding was designed by South Africa's celebrity wedding specialist, Zavion Kotze-Brereton, who also did Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Tebow's wedding.
The guest list included some of Tunzi-Bolowana’s celebrity friends, such as Anele Mdoda, Nomzamo Mbatha, Ama Qamata and Connie Ferguson.
Shortly after she shared the video of her lavish wedding day, an invitation to her traditional wedding day, which took place a week after the white wedding, was leaked online.
The traditional Xhosa wedding ceremony took place in Tunzi-Bolowana's home village, Sidwadweni, near Tsolo in the Eastern Cape.
Early this year, during an interview with a South African talent agency, she revealed how happy she has been since she tied the knot with her childhood best friend.
“Oh, it’s been so wonderful. I mean, it's been five seconds of being a wife, but it has been absolutely amazing. And once again, it’s another personal journey. And being able to do it with someone who has been my best friend for so many, many years,” she gushed.
