South African sensation Tyla Laura Seethal, known for captivating audiences with her chart-topping hits, made a highly-anticipated return to her home country this past weekend, igniting excitement among her fans.
After six months abroad, the Johannesburg-born singer made it clear that she had one culinary destination at the top of her list — Chicken Licken.
As she touched down in Mzansi, Tyla admitted her first indulgence was at the popular fast-food franchise, known for its spicy hot wings and mouth-watering sliders.
"Guys, as soon as I got home I went to the Chicken Licken line … got some hot wings and sliders. You know the story," she shared.

The eagerly awaited return came with two major concerts, the first in Cape Town on Thursday, December 5, and the second on Saturday, December 7, at the SunBet Arena, Time Square, Menlyn.
At her special performance in Johannesburg a day earlier, Tyla unveiled her latest single "Tears", to a crowd that included prominent figures such as Rachel Kolisi.
Tyla, who hails from the township of Edenvale, also addressed social media backlash regarding an incident at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
After asking fellow artist Halle Bailey to help her hold a heavy award, Tyla faced derogatory comments accusing her of being an "uppity African".
With unwavering confidence, she remarked: "Where’s all the Uppity Africans?"
The singer stirred conversations online, with fans taking to social media to express their thoughts on her food choice. While many joined in the enthusiasm for Chicken Licken, others shared their mixed feelings.
Nomvula Mhlongo said: “I like hot wings, too, especially Chicken Licken.”

Since the release of her hit single "Water", she has repeatedly made history, garnering both local and international accolades this year, breaking records and significantly raising the flag for South Africa’s musical talent.
The celebrated artist is not slowing down either. She is set to take the stage at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on December 12, where she will continue to showcase her talent to an international audience.
Additionally, fans can look forward to seeing her perform at the prestigious Coachella festival in April 2025.
