Cape Town Pride Festival & Mardi Gras
The Mother City is about to turn into one big rainbow playground as this renowned festival makes its return.
Over several days, the event will showcase everything from music, drag and live performances to workshops, talks and community events that give space to voices often unheard. It’s for families, friends, allies, and anyone who just wants the energy of a city embracing love in all its forms.
The Pride Parade serves as the festival’s heartbeat, with floats, dancers, drag performers and community groups moving through the streets to lively music.
Spectators and participants are drawn into the energy, whether cheering from the sidelines or joining the procession itself.
Mardi Gras adds an extra layer to the festival, featuring themed parties, live DJ sets, art exhibitions, and late-night entertainment.
It highlights the celebratory and creative aspects of Pride, providing attendees with opportunities to engage with local art, music, and performance while experiencing the city’s vibrant LGBTQIA+ culture.
Fans can expect to have a Mardi good time with performances from crowd favourites like Dope Saint Jude, whose fierce hip hop and alternative vibes always ignite the stage, Jimmy Nevis with his smooth, Sama-nominated melodies and the incredible Belinda Davids, whose voice could make anyone stop and stare.
Add in DJs like DJ K Dollahz and DJ Kixi, and you’ve got a party that keeps it moving.
