Cape Town Spring Xperience

This weekend, Cape Town Spring Xperience bursts to life with sun-soaked beats, fierce performances and crowds ready to dance. Epic local acts, electric energy and spring vibes.

One of the acts, music artist Qaqamba Ntshinka, shared her excitement about performing. “What excites me most is sharing the stage with such a phenomenal, diverse group of artists and the scale of the event itself."

"As an artist whose goals include expanding my fan base beyond my neighbourhood, performing at the Cape Town Spring Xperience is a significant opportunity to connect with a wider audience. This performance builds on other major career milestones I’ve had in the music industry,” she says.

Ntshinka is also looking forward to sharing the stage again with Zonke.

“I previously had the incredible opportunity to open for her, Mandisi Dyantyis, and Sjava at the 2024 Thikho Events Business Premium Jazz Festival,” she says.

The festival’s line-up is packed with South Africa’s top talent, including Big Zulu, DJ Zinhle, Nontokozo Mkhize, Zuko SA, Mr Thela, Lwah Ndlunkulu, Jaziel Brothers, Mshayi, and Bravo Le Roux, offering festivalgoers a vibrant mix of Afro-jazz, soulful vocals, and high-energy DJ sets.

She adds, “Collaborating with artists across diverse genres is always a dream, and having a platform like this with such prominent figures provides a great opportunity to maximise my presence in the industry.”

Among her favourite songs to perform live is "Zizinja," the track that helped bring her into the spotlight and earned her a nomination for the Basadi in Music Awards in 2023.

“My music is rooted in Afro jazz and my Xhosa culture. ‘Zizinja’ captures the heart and allows me to connect with the audience through its meaningful message,” Ntshinka explains.
