You’ve seen the “Siyamosha” and “Umlilo” seasons, which brought both chaos and fire.

But have you ever wondered where the former housemates are and if they have squashed their beef? Well, wonder no more.

“Big Brother Mzansi” is adding something fresh to the mix this year with a special that is set to make the viewers’ jaws drop and the drama will unfold much sooner than you expect.

Before Season 6 officially kicks off, the franchise is rolling out a four-part special “Big Brother Mzansi: The Special!” which will bring back housemates from two of the hottest seasons.

The episodes start airing on December 14, at 5pm on Mzansi Magic, and the announcement is already causing a stir among fans who are excited for the chaos that’s about to erupt.

From the relationships that almost took off to the cat fights that had you glued to the screen, the special will bring all the familiar faces under one roof again, giving them space to revisit what really happened in the house, unpack unresolved tensions and share what they have been up to after the show.

Viewers can expect old friendships, old drama and strategy secrets, with Smash Afrika stepping in as host once again.

Mzansi Magic says the special is a response to viewers who have been wanting more from their favourite former housemates. The channel is treating it as a chance for fans to get the closure, clarity or even the chaos they have been waiting for.

“Big Brother Mzansi has always been more than just a reality show but an entertainment phenomenon that captivates the whole of Mzansi and parts of Southern Africa. This reunion is an extension of that, giving fans what they have been asking for … whether it’s closure or some kind of redemption,” said Shirley Adonisi, the director of local entertainment channels at M-Net.

This four-part reunion is completely separate from the upcoming "Big Brother Mzansi" Season 6 “Vuk’ubangene!”, which was announced last month.

Auditions opened on October 2 and the new season will introduce a fresh set of housemates that make the cut, and a brand-new game.

Adonis previously explained that the opportunity offers a bold and unfiltered glimpse into the lives of everyday South Africans, igniting national dialogues around identity, relationships and social dynamics, while celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of Mzansi youth.
