Season nine of the popular reality series has viewers glued to their screens, andas the drama of Musa Mseleku’s strained relationship with Thobile MaKhumalo Mseleku continues, viewers are weighing in.
Season nine reveals just how deep the cracks are between Musa and MaKhumalo, with it being revealed how he didn’t support he when she was admitted to the hospital and issues around Musa’s newest wife, number five, MaKhwela.
During a recent episode, Musa and MaKhumalo have a meeting that brings up some heated issues, such as Thobile's fertility struggles.
The couple has opened up on the reality show about the struggle to conceive, and while Musa has always shown her support, he has made remarks during his diary sessions that have raised eyebrows around the sensitive issue.
MaKhumalo now, during her discussion with Musa, brings up how, during one of their off-screen conversations, he told her that he is tired of waiting for her to conceive naturally.
“We spoke about it, and you told me that whatever I think my contribution is counts for nothing compared to what you want, which you haven't gotten from me. You are tired of waiting.”
Musa’s latest comments regarding MaKhumalo have hit a nerve among viewers, with many calling him out and others showing support for MaKhumalo, while others are interrogating the shift in her behaviour on the show.
In previous seasons, viewers saw Musa and MaKhumalo go from lovey-dovey to her being his biggest advocate to a huge rift between them, with them not seeing eye to eye, with Musa saying hurtful things about her, such as calling her a failure in a diary session.
During the six-part special “Uthando Nes’thembu Uncut”, which aired in December, issues between MaKhumalo and Musa were revealed. During one of Musa’s diary session he said in Zulu that Thobile’s success is because of him.
Musa has been open about wanting more children, hence his addition of another wife, which has caused friction in the family.
