Camilla Waldman takes on the role of lawyer Nina in e.tv's 'Scandal!'

South African actress Camilla Waldman has joined the cast of e.tv soapie "Scandal!"

e.tv’s drama series, “Scandal!” is keeping the drama hot, with viewers on the edge of their seats.

This week viewers will be introduced to a new character lawyer Nina portrayed by renowned actress Camilla Waldman.

Waldman has an extensive history in South African television, she most recently starred in “Miseducation”, movie “After School is After School!”, “Legacy” and “Reyka” to name a few. The acting coach has also appeared in several theatre productions.

“Scandal!” welcomed the legendary actress in a social media post. “We’re thrilled to welcome a powerhouse to the Scandal Team!🎥 Welcome, Nina, playing the role of Tiro’s lawyer. 

“Her talent continues to leave us in awe every time she graces our screens,” read the post.

This October, “Scandal!” will broadcast its 5 000th episode and as part of the “Champions of Storytelling” campaign, e.tv will be rolling out celebratory content and behind-the-scenes moments across social media.

“Reaching 5,000 episodes is a testament to our loyal viewers, talented cast and crew, and the incredible teams who have shaped Scandal! into a household name,” said Helga Palmer, Head of Local Programming at e.tv. 

“This milestone celebrates not just longevity, but the spirit of authentic South African storytelling that connects deeply with audiences across generations.”

In the forthcoming months, “Scandal!” is set to deliver an enhanced narrative experience characterized by heightened dramatic tension, unforeseen plot developments, and the introduction of new characters.

e.tv, last month confirmed that the SAFTA award-winning "Scandal!" will be going off screens after more than 20 years.

The channel explained that they believed "Scandal!" has reached the end of its life cycle and will be on air until the end of June 2026.
