In a candid new interview on the "Zach Sang Show", global superstar Nick Jonas shared an intimate look at his evolving spiritual journey and his deep love for Indian culture.

Jonas described his discovery of Hinduism as "profound and beautiful", noting that it has become a cornerstone of how he and Priyanka Chopra are raising their daughter, Malti Marie.

"I've learned a lot about Hinduism, which is just amazing. Amazing is not a good enough word. It's profound and beautiful and the practice of Karma, and doing unto others as you would like done to you, and good things coming back to you if you're doing good, Dharma, is beautiful, and we're raising our daughter to have Hindu values and understanding of that in a meaningful way," he shared.

This spiritual evolution is part of a broader appreciation for the "magic" Jonas found upon his first visit to India.

"I always wanted a big extended family, and hoped that the person I found would share that. Because we are a big family. It was just kind of magic when I went to India for the first time and got to spend time with her (Chopra) family and her friends and experience the culture in a more meaningful way."

Today, he considers Indian traditions and holidays to be some of his most cherished life memories, saying that he feels incredibly blessed.

"Some of my favourite traditions and holidays are now Indian traditions and holidays, and some of my favourite memories in my life are based in India. It's pretty incredible ... My faith is very strong and an important part of who I am. It's changed a lot from the days we were in the front row as our dad preached on the pulpit.

"Life happens, and you get a different world view, and you decide what you want to take with you, what's going to add to your life. I'm very blessed to have a multicultural and multi-religious family," said Jonas.

He further explained that his faith is no longer confined; instead, he finds a connection to God through his work, his loved ones and a constant internal dialogue, admitting that his spiritual heart is always yearning for something deeper.

"I speak to God all the time, it's not just in prayer. I think when you are doing something you love, that can be your connection to God; when you are with the people you love, that can be your connection to God.

"I think life is nuts and it requires a thick skin and a heart that is searching and yearning for something more meaningful and deeper, at least I am, so faith is a huge part of my life and it's constantly evolving."

India’s rich culture has also changed the way Jonas makes music. He’s been blown away by the "incredible" melodies and musical scales used in Indian songs, which are very different from what he’s used to in the West.

"It's actually a scale that we not familiar with over here, but it's a beautiful musical scale that just opened up my mind. The thing I love about Hindi music and music from Southeast Asia is that a lot of the time, the music comes from a film and becomes famous from the scene the song is in.

"There are these composures that make these big hits, but it works well cinematically, and that's something that's so inspiring to me."

He also let it slip that his better half has been shooting a Tollywood movie on and off for more than a year.

"There's some great movies on the horizon. Priyanka has been shooting one for like the last 14 months on and off. It's a South Indian film. It's going to be incredible."

Jonas also shared some exciting details about the upcoming "Camp Rock 3", which is set to introduce the franchise to a brand-new generation.

"It's super fun and crazy to think we're introducing the 'Camp Rock' franchise to a whole new audience, and the new campers are exceptional. They all going to be superstars. I can see it. I see a lot of us at that age, in them, and excited for this incredible journey they all about to go on.

"The script is a ton of fun. We're in it for a little bit, we kind of set up the idea of the film and then we get out and then we come back at the end, and it's all their show, they're carrying the baton.

In the new film, the Jonas Brothers return to their roots as Connect 3 after losing the opening act for their major reunion tour.

"We return to 'Camp Rock' to see what the new talent is because we're looking for an opening act for our big tour and so it becomes like this talent boot camp and there's a big show at the end where they take their shot at becoming the opening act. It's really a ton of fun and the music is great."
