Our favourite moms from Monterey are returning.
HBO recently confirmed that the popular crime drama "Big Little Lies" season 3 is officially in the works, six years after the last season aired in 2019.
Francesca Sloane, co-creator of "Mr & Mrs Smith", will write the first episode and serve as an executive producer alongside David E. Kelley, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon, who are also on board to produce.
Though the full cast hasn’t been announced yet, it is expected that Kidman, Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley will reprise their roles as Celeste, Madeline and Jane, respectively.
Woodley stirred up more excitement with an Instagram post saying, "We ARE so back ... cause ... it's happening."
The post featured her with co-stars Laura Dern and Zoe Kravitz.

The new season will draw from author Liane Moriarty's upcoming sequel to her original novel.
Moriarty has hinted that there will be a major time jump, with the Monterey moms now raising teenagers, making for some interesting new storylines.
However, the plot triggered fans who didn't want to see the kids suddenly aged up.
One social media user commented: "The whole point was about mother bears of school children."
Meanwhile, Witherspoon said in an interview with Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show": "We might be working on season three. They are writing it. It's exciting to get the gang back together and have everybody start talking about it ...
"It's been 10/9 years, and all those little kids who were in second grade, they're all teenagers now ... A mom of a teenager, it is a lot of big little lies."
When "Big Little Lies" first aired in 2017, it quickly became a cultural phenomenon, showcasing the seemingly perfect lives of a group of Monterey moms as their hidden secrets emerged amid escalating conflicts that led to a shocking death.
The show received critical acclaim, sweeping eight Emmy Awards, including the prestigious Outstanding Limited Series, and Kidman even won an Emmy for Lead Actress.
Rumours about a third season had been swirling for a while, with Kidman hinting back in November 2023 that developments were moving at a "fast and furious" pace and that she had been in constant communication with Witherspoon.
No official release date has yet been set by HBO; however, it is assumed to be in 2026, close to the time Moriarty is set to release her new book.
