Jill Scott is bringing the soul back to 2026 as she prepares to drop a brand new project that marks her official return to the neo-soul world.
After what feels like an eternity of waiting, she took to Instagram to share the news fans have been waiting for: a full album is finally on the way.
Titled “To Whom This May Concern,” the project is set to arrive on February 13, 2026.
In her announcement, Scott kept it real and gracious, sharing that the album is finally dropping and thanking her fans for their patience and listening ears.
As a teaser, she’s released the first single titled “Beautiful People.”
The track has that signature blend of poetic storytelling and lush production that reminds us why she became such a massive force in music.
It is hard to believe, but it has been over ten years since we last got a full-length studio album from her.
Her last project, “Woman,” was released back in 2015 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
While she has stayed busy with acting and guest features, the absence of a solo record has left a hole in the music world.
She isn’t coming back alone for this ride. The new album is a star-studded affair with a tracklist that spans nineteen songs.
Fans can look forward to hearing collaborations with some heavy hitters, including Ab-Soul, J.I.D and Too $hort. The production team is just as impressive, featuring names like DJ Premier and Andre Harris.
While we count down the days until February, it is the perfect time to revisit the classics that turned her into a legend.
From the coffee-shop vibes of her debut to the empowering anthems of her later work, her catalogue is unmatched. Some of her most popular and essential tracks include “Golden”, “A Long Walk”, “The Way”, and “Hate on Me.”
It is safe to say that 2026 is already looking up now that Jill Scott is back in the mix.
And hey, if Jill can find the time to get back in the studio after a decade, maybe there is still a sliver of hope for that elusive Rihanna album before the decade ends.
