The new year is looking very exciting when it comes to musical acts coming to the country from American R&B singer Mariah The Scientist and now Nigerian sensation Asake.
Afrobeats superstar Asake is set to perform in South Africa for the first time in 2026
From “Lonely at the Top” to Amapiano and “Organise,” organisers tease a dynamic showcase of chart-topping hits, high-energy choreography, and a world-class production that celebrates the fusion of Afrobeats and Amapiano sounds.
The concert is brought to South Africa by AfroFuture - the pioneering brand by Culture Management Group LLC, which is expanding its celebration of African creativity across the continent with the launch of its newest experience property, Curated By Culture (Cbc).
“South Africa has long been a heartbeat of global music and creativity; its sound, its energy, and its people have influenced culture far beyond its borders,” says Abdul Karim Abdullah, CEO and Co-Founder of AfroFuture.
“With Curated By Culture, our goal is to create experiences that honour these cultural powerhouses across Africa. Launching in Johannesburg with Asake felt like the perfect way to set the tone: bold, unapologetic, and deeply rooted in Africa's rhythm.”
Asake burst onto the scene in 2020, and quickly became one of Africa’s most dynamic musical exports, known for his energetic vocals.
Signed to YBNL Nation, his debut album, “Mr. Money with the Vibe” (2022), and follow-up “Work of Art” (2023) cemented his global stardom, blending street authenticity with international appeal.
News of his South African performance has local fans excited and ready to purchase their tickets.
AfroFuture presents Curated by Culture | ASAKE LIVE takes places on January 3, 2026 at The Goldrush Dome, Johannesburg and tickets are available exclusively on Quicket.
