The story will centre on three siblings, Joe, Beth and Frannie, who discover a magical tree after their family moves to the English countryside.

As they climb this extraordinary tree, they meet delightful characters like Moonface, Silky, Dame Washalot and Saucepan Man.

Each climb takes them to different fantastical lands where they will face joys and challenges, ultimately learning to reconnect as a family.

Delilah Bennett-Cardy, Billie Gadsdon and Phoenix Laroche will star as the adventurous siblings  Beth, Joe and Fran, while former "Spider-Man" actor Andrew Garfield plays the role of the children’s father, Tim, and Claire Foy, famous for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in "The Crown", plays their mother, Polly.

Colourful characters include Silky the pixie, played by Nicola Coughlan, Moonface, portrayed by Nonso Anozie and Dame Washalot, played by "Baby Reindeer" star Jessica Gunning.

Gunning took to Instagram to share: "I’m so, so excited to be a part of this movie, I can’t even express it, and this cast is so incredible, feel so lucky. In my Fairy Era🧚."

Meanwhile, last year Coughlan gave fans a peek of her character: "If you come down to The Enchanted Wood, be sure to look out for fairies-Silky will be waiting ✨It’s an honour to share the first look at 'The Magic Faraway Tree' with you, and it’s only just the beginning..."
