Rapper and TV host Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye is gearing up for a highly anticipated return to the controversial reality show "Uyajola 9/9", which is set to premiere on November 2 on Moja Love (DStv channel 157).
While many fans expressed excitement over the comeback of the popular host, Jub Jub is simultaneously facing a legal storm, having been sued for R12 million by a woman whose privacy he allegedly invaded.
According to reports emerging online, Sheron Tose has taken legal action against the host, stemming from an incident where the "Uyajola 9/9" crew supposedly barged into her and her partner's bedroom.
The allegations state that both she and her partner were filmed without consent while in a vulnerable state, leading to claims of emotional trauma and humiliation.
The lawsuit, which is currently before the Johannesburg High Court, has ignited a heated debate online, with responses divided.
Some fans have rallied behind Jub Jub, expressing their ongoing support, while others have raised ethical concerns about the show's practices and the impact they might have on the lives of those featured in its segments.
@DMN4ever commented on X: "They must just cancel that show.. It's f***in useless and it only favours that other gender...!!!"
@MatshidisoAnnen wrote: "There are multiple human rights violations. This show was flawed from the word go. They even discontinued it in America because of the violations. It’s illegal to follow someone for days without their consent, invade their privacy in any form, and videotape them without consent."
This is not the first time Jub Jub has found himself in hot water. He previously made headlines for being investigated over a R120 000 fraud case.
Despite the setbacks, fans can't wait to have Jub Jub back on their screens.
One netizen commented: "We've been waiting yoh ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ finally."
Another joked: "😂😂😂 those of us who don't cheat, it's safe to say welcome back."
There are even playful comments, with one user saying: "Hahaha, we missed you, Mara, why do I feel like this season ngizoba khona😠(I'll be there)."
