This year has truly been a year of engagements, pregnancy announcements, as well as wedding bells.

The latest celebrity to join the list is “Blood & Water” actress Khosi Ngema, who shared a heartfelt announcement that she is expecting her first child on social media.

The singer took to Instagram, sharing a series of images that offered fans a peek into her heart-warming pregnancy photoshoot with her fiancé.

She looked stunning in an off-white polo neck dress, which revealed the sides of her body, and hugged her body, showcasing her growing baby bump.

She styled her braids in an up-do and put gold butterfly clips in her hair. While her partner wore a white t-shirt with maroon trousers.

Ngema excitedly captioned her post: “God is Love. We are blessed forever. Can’t wait for our new adventure.”

In July, the 25-year-old announced her engagement as she gave fans an update on what has been happening in her life after taking a hiatus from social media.

She revealed how life has been exciting and gave a glimpse of the events that took place in her life, including teasing a new project, heartfelt moments with her loved ones and what her engagement looked like.

Ngema also shared a short clip of the engagement set-up, which had red roses on the ground that led up to a heart which had the words “Will you marry me?” on it.

The “Mama” singer received outpouring and heartfelt congratulatory messages on her pregnancy announcement post.

“My other little sis. I can’t believe that I’m officially ‘a granny,” actress Gail Mabalane commented.

“Aww. Congratulations & God bless you both,” @jay_elemn wrote.

While actress, Zenande Mfenyana added: “Congratulations, my beautiful girl.”

Even though she has received heartfelt messages about her pregnancy, some fans were not quite as happy.

Some of her fans expressed surprise at Ngema's pregnancy, having perceived her as younger due to her portrayal of the teenage character Fikile in “Blood & Water.”

“I thought you were only 15 years of age, congratulations,” @she_is_nthabi_t said.

While @atis_jojo21 added: “Am I the only one who thought she’s a baby, in her teens or something like that?”
