Amapiano sensation Young Stunna (real name Sandile Msimango) has shown that success is not just about fame or awards, but it’s also about giving back.
At just 25, the “Spoonky” contributor treated his mother to a luxury trip to Dubai, sharing glimpses of the getaway on his Instagram.
The photos captured his mother exploring some of the city’s most iconic spots, including the observation deck at the world’s tallest skyscraper, Burj Khalifa, and the stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
There were also lighter moments where she enjoyed poolside relaxation with coconut drinks, desert adventures, and even exciting encounters with the iconic Dubai falcons.
In his Instagram caption, Msimango wrote, “Took my mom to Dubai bro, I’m only 25 years old & I ain’t worried about none trust me,” showing both pride and gratitude for the woman who brought him into this world and raised him.
The award-winning artist has always been one to honour his mother.
In an interview with “True Love”, he shared that his 2021 number one debut album, “Notumato”, which, according to him, means “beautiful at birth”, was an ode to parents and ancestors.
The album was also a way to honour his mother, reflecting her Xhosa roots and the influence of his family on his life and career.
His achievement also reflects a broader trend among young, successful South African stars accomplishing major milestones early in life.
Take rising singer Naledi Aphiwe, for example. At just 19, she renovated her parents’ home in KwaZulu-Natal, showcasing her success not only as a musician but also as a young adult taking care of her family.
Sharing a video tour of the refurbished home on social media, Aphiwe wrote, “Big girl, big moves. Please continue supporting me ngizowenza okukhulu kakhulu ekhaya (I will do more at home).”
Both Msimango and Aphiwe demonstrate that age is not a barrier when it comes to achieving remarkable things.
Whether it’s giving a parent a luxury holiday or transforming a family home, these young stars are redefining what it means to succeed in their 20s.
Their journeys continue to inspire fans across South Africa as they continuously prove that dedication, talent and gratitude can open doors to opportunities that go far beyond the music charts.
