1. Diddy’s sex trafficking trial

The American music mogul is facing five federal criminal charges, which include racketeering, sex trafficking and prostitution.

Cassie Ventura, his ex-girlfriend, appeared in court to testify against the embattled rapper and revealed shocking details about their relationship. She shared that Diddy was abusive and would coerce her into doing drugs and into participating in the "freak offs".

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His legal team maintains the relationships were consensual and argues there was “nothing illegal” about his “swinger lifestyle”.

2. Tory Lanez was stabbed in prison

The Canadian rapper was stabbed 14 times during a violent attack at a Florida prison on Monday, May 12. 

It was reported that the rapper suffered severe injuries, including seven stab wounds to his back, two to the back of his head and one to his face. 

The attack caused both of his lungs to collapse; however, he is currently able to breathe on his own.

South African celeb moms took to social media to share how they celebrated Mother’s Day with their loved ones.

4. Minnie Dlamini takes legal action against MacG

Minnie Dlamini has broken her silence addressing the misogynistic remarks about her made by controversial podcaster, Macgyver "MacG" Mukwevho.

Dlamini explained how she had watched in disbelief and deep pain as her name, body, and dignity had been dragged through the mud of public discourse, triggered by the vile, humiliating and inexcusable comments made by the podcaster.

She also revealed that she will pursue legal action against MacG.

5. Kelvin Momo’s lawsuit

Amapiano sensation Kelvin Momo, real name Thato Ledwaba, is facing a financial threat after Australian firm Ace Events filed court papers seeking the liquidation of his company, Kelvin Momo Production. 

The claim alleges that the 31-year-old’s company owes up to R2.8 million in refunds and damages due to his failure to perform at two scheduled shows in Australia last year.

6. Law Roach about Zendaya’s wedding dress

Iconic fashion stylist, Law Roach, shared insights into Zendaya and Tom Holland’s wedding plans.

Roach shared during an interview with Aria Hughes on the "Complex" podcast that while he envisions Zendaya's wedding dress to be "really beautiful", it is likely that the public will never catch a glimpse of it.

US singer and actress, Miley Cyrus, has publicly addressed rumours that she is feuding with her parents, Tish Cyrus-Purcell and Billy Ray Cyrus.

The singer shared an Instagram story revealing that she is on good terms with her parents and the rumours that her mother unfollowed her because they are fighting are “uninteresting”.

8. Kim Kardashian takes the stand against the Paris robbers

Kim Kardashian took the stand in a Paris courtroom, recounting chilling details of the terrifying robbery that left an indelible mark on her life.

The reality TV star and billionaire entrepreneur faced ten defendants, dubbed the "grandpa robbers" by French media, accused of robbing her at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week in October 2016.

She vividly described the moments of fear and confusion, recalling how she had fallen asleep naked, her robe falling open when one of her captors pulled her across the bed.

9. Halle Bailey granted restraining order after accusing ex-boyfriend DDG of abuse

“The Little Mermaid” actress filed for a restraining order against streamer ex-boyfriend, DDG.

According to “TMZ”, the police documents state that Bailey filed the papers on Tuesday, May 13, claiming that DDG was abusive towards her and in one instant, he pulled her hair, slamming her face on the steering wheel and chipping her tooth.

10. Usher almost lands in trouble after attempting to feed a fan who's allergic to cherries at a London gig

During each performance of "There Goes My Baby" on the "Past Present Future Tour", the hitmaker feeds a member of the audience cherries.

However, during a recent gig at London's The O2 arena, Usher's stunt nearly ended messy as he initially failed to hear the fan warning him she's allergic to the fruit.

Luckily, minutes after he actually heard her and called for an emergency.

11. Cannes Film Festival enforces strict dress code rules

The Cannes Film Festival has introduced a new, strict dress code guideline. The official charter read that nudity or big gowns are now prohibited on the red carpet.

“For reasons of decency, nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as in any other area of the Festival,” reads the official charter for festival-goers.

The official guide further added: “Voluminous outfits, particularly those with large trains that obstruct the flow of guests or complicate seating in the theatre, are not permitted."
