Sean "Diddy" Combs' ex-girlfriend, Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura, took to the stand and testified in the hip-hop mogul's sex-trafficking trial.
Ventura bravely told the jury how Diddy controlled her life and coerced her into "humiliating" sex acts. Pregnant with her third child, Ventura, is the star witness in the trial.
The testimony has gripped the public's attention, with many admirers and supporters lauding Ventura's bravery.
Her revelations shed light on a deeply troubling account of what she called "humiliating" sexual acts and performances, which were orchestrated by Diddy.
The weight of her words resonated greatly with onlookers, including social media users like @TheKempire, who remarked on her audacity to confront her alleged abuser while pregnant. “I don’t care what anyone says… that woman is BRAVE. #diddytrial,” they wrote.
As the trial unfolds, the chilling details surrounding Ventura's allegations have provoked a broader conversation about abuse and the societal conditions that silence many victims.
@Ozzyetomi expressed concern over the language used to describe the acts enforced by Combs, emphasising the severity of the naming of such events: “They need to stop using the term 'freak-off'... it was rape, torture, assault and abuse.”
Diddy is facing charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Prosecutors questioned the singer about her 11-year, on-and-off relationship with Combs. In her harrowing testimony, Ventura described falling in love with Combs.
However, she stated that she was compelled to participate in "freak-offs," which she described as days-long sexual performances orchestrated by Combs, where she was the central figure and, in her view, the object of these acts.
Ventura told the court how Combs introduced her to the sexual events during the first year of their relationship. They would hire a male escort or stripper to have sex with Ms Ventura while Mr Combs watched.
Ventura told the court that she first tried the encounters to make Combs "happy". But she said they humiliated her, and sometimes lasted three to four days.
"I felt pretty horrible about myself," she told the court, wiping away tears. "It made me feel worthless."
"I was humiliated," she told the court, her voice breaking with tears as her husband observed from the gallery. "I couldn't talk to anybody about it."

Ventura said the choreographed sex parties took place in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Atlanta as well in Ibiza and Turks and Caicos.
Ventura, 38, filed a lawsuit in 2023 against Combs, accusing him of physical and sexual abuse. Though the two settled that lawsuit for an undisclosed sum, it prompted a federal investigation that led to Combs’s arrest in September 2024.
The trial is expected to last at least eight weeks, Ventura is expected to continue her testimony on Wednesday, when she could also face cross-examination.
