In a disturbing twist that continues to rock the entertainment industry, Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing explosive allegations in a federal sex trafficking case.

The trial, which began on Monday, May 12, has cast a harsh spotlight on the rapper's long-term relationship with singer Cassie Ventura.

What’s unfolding is a narrative filled with abuse, control, and shocking acts of degradation that prosecutors argue from the heart of a years-long pattern of exploitation.

Prosecutor Emily Johnson shared harrowing news in her opening statements.

She claimed that Combs once forced a male escort to urinate in Ventura's mouth at a private party, an act that left her “feeling like she was choking.”

This incident is allegedly just one example of the coercion and humiliation she endured under Combs' control, as you can imagine.

Ventura, known for her 2006 hit “Me & U", was reportedly the primary focus in Johnson’s outline of Combs’ abusive behaviour.

The prosecution recounted a violent episode where Combs allegedly tracked the singer down after discovering she had started seeing another man.

“When he finally found her, he beat her brutally,” Johnson said.

“Kicking her in the back and flinging her around like a rag doll.”

Johnson further alleged that Combs used threats of blackmail to keep Ventura compliant, warning her that he had recordings of her with male escorts that he would release if she disobeyed him.

The trial also featured a detailed and emotional testimony from witness Daniel Phillip, a male escort and performer who said he had been hired by Ventura, on Combs’ orders, to engage in sex acts while the rapper watched and filmed.

Phillip claimed that Combs wore a robe, a baseball cap, and a bandanna to partially conceal his identity, but he recognised his voice.

These encounters reportedly occurred at high-end locations.

At times, he said Combs instructed them to use more "baby oil", stating, "You don't have enough on" with sessions lasting up to 10 hours.

In one account, Phillip said he heard Ventura screaming behind closed doors after Combs allegedly dragged her by the hair and slapped her when she did not respond quickly to his call.

He admitted that he didn’t intervene because he believed Combs was too powerful, adding that he feared for his safety.

“Chances are, even if I did go to the police, I might still end up losing my life,” Phillip told the court.

Combs’ daughters, D’Lila, Jessie, and Chance, all 18, walked out of the courtroom alongside his mother, Janice Combs, as witness Phillip began describing a graphic sexual encounter.

While Combs has pleaded not guilty to all five federal charges, his lawyer, Teny Geragos, acknowledged in court that he had committed acts of domestic violence.

However, Geragos argued that these incidents, troubling as they may be, do not amount to sex trafficking.

“We will not shy away from the things he did, but we will not own the things he did not do,” she said. “Is he physical? Yes. Is he a drug user? Yes. But is that a federal crime? No.”

The trial continues, but the portrait emerging so far is one of alleged control, abuse, and exploitation under the guise of celebrity power.
