Zozibini Tunzi is a woman of many talents, and who would have guessed that songwriting was one of them?
A moment of pure love and emotion set the tone for Tunzi and her new husband Luthando Bolowana’s fairytale wedding.
During their intimate wedding ceremony that took place on March 22, the former Miss Universe performed a musical tribute to her husband.
Collaborating with South African musician Muneyi, they wrote the song almost two years ago.
“@muneyi_ was teaching me how to write music, and on this particular day asked me how I was feeling at that point in my life,” she shared.
"I told him I was in love. So, we worked on this beautiful melody that emulated what I was feeling. Then we started writing. We left that song untouched until yesterday when I sang it for the first time for the man who inspired it on our wedding day. Felt really fitting."
That sentiment blossomed into a beautiful song, which she saved for the special day.
The couple exchanged vows at the breathtaking Belair Pavilion in Paarl, Western Cape.
Tunzi captivated her guests in a custom bridal gown by renowned Vietnamese designer Phan Huy.
The long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder dress, adorned with intricate 3D embroidery, enhanced her radiant presence.
The wedding was attended by notable South African celebrities, including Connie Ferguson, actress Nomzamo Mbatha and presenter Anele Mdoda.
Tunzi and Bolowana, who kept their relationship under wraps, have a love story built on shared interests and mutual respect.
From Marvel films and Game of Thrones to cosy movie nights, they find joy in their common passions.
Tunzi playfully attempts to introduce Bolowana to anime, even though he insists on calling it cartoons, while he, a devoted Manchester United fan, appreciates her willingness to engage in his love for football.
