Big Brother Mzansi Season 5 Umlilo Finale – Sweet Guluva claims the R2m grand prize

After 72 days of strategic gameplay, alliances, and unexpected turns, Big Brother Mzansi Season 5 Umlilo comes to an end. In a highly anticipated finale, Mzansi crowned Sweet Guluva as season 5 winner, awarding him the grand prize of R2 million.

From the moment the 24 housemates entered the Big Brother Mzansi house, it became everyone’s game. This season introduced surprising twists such as housemates voting for one of their own to leave immediately, reshaping the way the game unfolded. We saw unexpected departures, including a disqualification. We had Lottostar games and contested Head of House challenges that tested leadership and resilience.

 As the finale came to a close, the top five housemates found themselves navigating the final stages of the competition, knowing that only one would emerge as the winner. One by one, they left the house until the final two remained to join this season’s host, Smash Afrika on the live stage.

Beyond the live eviction show, the excitement continued at the Big Brother Mzansi Finale Watch Party, held at Maracana Restaurant. Stakeholders, special guests, and family members gathered to witness the final moments together in a night filled with anticipation and celebration.

 The red carpet, hosted by Big Brother Mzansi Season 4 alumni Yolanda Mukondi and Sinaye Kotobe, welcomed a star-studded A-list, including Nay Maps, Sannah Mchunu, Wright Ngubeni and more. Inside, the energy remained high as event hosts Sol Phenduka, a Big Brother Mzansi alum, and Dimpho M kept the crowd entertained.

 Adding to the spectacle, the finale featured electrifying performances from some of Mzansi’s top musical talents, including Kwesta, LeeMcKrazy, Zee Nxumalo, and DJ Kaygo, further cementing Big Brother Mzansi's commitment to showcasing local entertainment.
