Two suspects have been released on bail following a significant drug bust in Cape Town, where authorities seized drugs worth over R6.8 million.

Two suspects implicated in an inter-provincial drug bust have been released on R15 000 bail each and will return to court on July 7.
Hawks spokesperson, Siyabulela Vukubi, said the Hawks' Asset Forfeiture Investigation in collaboration with the National Prosecuting Authority's Asset Forfeiture Unit obtained a preservation on Monday by the Western Cape High Court.
This was after members of the Hawks' South African Narcotics Enforcement Bureau acted on intelligence received on August 23, regarding a Hyundai H1 that was transporting drugs from Gauteng to Cape Town.
The vehicle was spotted on the N2 near Strand towards Cape Town.
"Upon search, 71 000 mandrax tablets and 14 bricks of cocaine, which weighed 14kg were found concealed in panels of the vehicle.
"The value of the drugs was estimated at R 6 841 120. 00. Two occupants were arrested.
"The vehicle, which was estimated at the value trade of R138 600, was seized as it was used as an instrumentality.
"Both accused in this matter, Hugo Madlot and Hope Nosipho Cindi are currently out on R15 000 bail each and will return to court on July 7," Vukubi said.
Earlier this month, a 40-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs worth R18 million, stashed at a storage facility in Roeland Street, Cape Town, on June 10.
Members of the Anti-Gang Unit, Crime Intelligence and Provincial Organised Crime Detectives acted on information of drugs and firearms being stored at the facility.
Police spokesperson, FC van Wyk, said the officers conducted a search of the unit and discovered 15 bricks of cocaine of about 15 kilograms (1kg each) with an estimated street value of R18 million as well as one AK 47 rifle, an Uzzi, five 9mm pistols and an assortment of ammunition.
