Proteas star Kagiso Rabada has again been charged by the International Cricket Council, while at the same time, he was sworn at by Australian batsman Mitchell Marsh at St George’s Park on Monday.
The ICC announced on Monday morning that Rabada, who rattled through the Australian batting line-up and currently has six wickets in their second innings, will have to answer a Level 1 offence for his send-off of controversial opener David Warner on Sunday.
This comes as he still awaits the outcome of his hearing on Sunday night for a Level 2 offence after he “brushed” the shoulder of Australian captain Steve Smith on Friday.
On Sunday, Rabada clean-bowled Warner for 13 with a superb delivery that jagged back into the left-hander and hit his off-stump.
The 22-year-old paceman screamed in delight as he walked in front of Warner, and the ICC have deemed that it could be in breach of their code of conduct.
“Kagiso Rabada has been reported for a level 1 offence for the send-off given to David Warner during the third day of the Port Elizabeth Test. He has yet to respond to the charges. Details to follow in due course via the usual channels,” the ICC tweeted on Monday.
Meanwhile, Rabada was on the receiving end on Monday as well.
After bowling Mitchell Marsh for 45, which set up an Australian collapse to 239 all out – which means the Proteas need just 101 for victory in the second Test – Marsh swore at the bowler in his follow-through.

Rabada did not respond to Marsh and continued on to celebrate with his teammates, and ended with figures of 6/54 to end with 11 wickets in the match.
Now it remains to be seen whether the ICC will charge Marsh for his outburst.
