Book review: Garden Projects With Tanya And Anna

By Tanya Visser and Anna Celliers

Metz Press, R250

This is not a book you will want to read from cover to cover, but one that will certainly earn its place on your bookshelf.

Garden experts Anna Celliers and Tanya Visser create an inspiring DIY book to make your outside living areas the envy of your neighbours.

Garden Projects with Tanya and Anna is all about the outdoor spaces of your home and how to improve them. The book tackles DIY projects for water features, projects using pots and containers, for walls and how to turn them into features, how to create pathways or steps in your garden and maintain these, as well as how to beautify your patio or courtyard.

A chapter covers a range of flooring for the garden, but warns some of the projects are best left to professionals.

Most of the projects come with step-by-step instructions and clear pictures.

What I found invaluable is that each project covers not only the steps to make the project, but includes the plants best suited to the project.

This book would make a treasured gift for a DIY man or woman. – Daily News
