South African media personality Pearl Modiadie has won R250,000 on "Deal or No Deal Celebrity" South Africa, securing the grand prize for Tshepang Care Centre, a charity based in her hometown.

Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Modiadie described the experience as deeply personal and faith-driven. "I can't think of a better start to the year than taking a chance for a great cause. We did it, guys!" she wrote.

"Winning R250,000 for my chosen charity, Tshepang Care Centre, was more than just a game—it was a deeply personal and faith-driven moment."

Reflecting on her journey, she emphasised the power of belief and bold decision-making.

"This win is a reminder that when we trust in something greater than ourselves, listen to our inner voice, and take bold steps forward, amazing things can happen."

Modiadie also expressed gratitude to host Katlego Maboe, the "Deal or No Deal Celebrity" team, and the show’s sponsor.

She acknowledged her supporters, many of whom had predicted her big win.

Her winning briefcase number 18 held special significance for her, as it marked the day her son was born.

"Here’s to special number 18, the day my son was born and changed my life," she shared.

The winnings will go to Tshepang Care Centre, which provides crucial support to vulnerable individuals and families in Tembisa, offering food assistance and social services.

Modiadie is not the only public figure to have secured winnings for charity on "Deal or No Deal Celebrity".

Television presenter Rorisang Thandekiso previously won R250,000, which she donated to Paediatric Care Africa, an organisation that provides medical aid to children in need.

Additionally, celebrity chef Zola Nene participated in the show, winning R61,480 for the Peninsula School Feeding Association, a non-profit dedicated to fighting hunger among underprivileged schoolchildren in the Western Cape.
