Lady Gaga has thrilled fans by finally announcing details of her new album titled “Mayhem”.
The forthcoming record is the chart-topping star's seventh studio album, and it will be released in March - five years after her last album, “Chromatica”.
Gaga announced the release date of the record on Monday, sharing artwork and a snippet of music in a social media post along with a simple statement declaring, "Mayhem coming March 7. Pre-order now."
In a release relating to the announcement she shared further information of the new offering, saying, "The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved."
The “Rain On Me” singer went on to describe her creative process as being like, "reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can't put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way."
While the album will be released on March 7, fans will only have to wait a few more days before they hear one of the new songs from the record.
The third single from the album is due to be unveiled on Sunday, February 2, during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards, which the singer is tipped to perform at.
All 14 track titles from the record have been revealed, including lead single “Disease”, which struggled in the charts when released last October.
“Die with a Smile”, her duet with Bruno Mars, which reportedly was not originally planned to be included on the record is also on the track listing - and the single is currently atop the US charts, more than five months after it was released.
